Cranberry Cane Vinaigrette

Cranberry Cane Vinaigrette
yields: 1 cup

½ cup cranberry sauce (we love ours!)

2 Tablespoons cane vinegar

1 Tablespoon honey

1 Tablespoon creole mustard

¼ cup canola oil

2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions: In a mixing bowl whisk together your cranberry sauce, vinegar, honey and creole mustard. Combine your oils. Slowly whisk the oil, in a slow steady stream, into the cranberry base and season to taste with salt and pepper. 

Pro Tip: When tossing a salad, always combine your dry ingredients (lettuce, tomatoes and onion as an example) with salt and pepper first. Toss to distribute the seasoning and then dress with vinaigrette by adding it around the inner rim of the bowl, then gently toss. Using clean hands is the best way to delicately dress your salad.
