Thomas Dean was born in Queens, NY, and raised in Atlanta, GA. Dean has a background in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Georgia Southern University but he grew up in a household where he was able to experience a wide variety of food and was always encouraged to try new things. This helped develop his passion for food at a young age. In 2011, Thomas made the leap from corporate to restaurants and fit right in. He bartended for many years at a couple of popular restaurant groups in Atlanta before his move to the Hudson Valley in upstate New York in 2020 where he worked in fine dining. In 2022, Thomas moved to DC was introduced to Long Shot Hospitality, from a visit to The Salt Line. Thomas is a huge fan of New Orleans - from the culture to the people and was drawn to Dauphine’s for that reason. He got his start at Dauphine's as a bartender, but was immediately showed leadership and progressed into management.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys traveling, dining, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
