Originally hailing from Fairfield, California in the Bay Area, Tyler has always had a love for food, beverage, and hospitality.
While on the West Coast, Tyler pursued an education in theatre arts, revealing his creative side and love for performance. Tyler's journey in the hospitality/service industry started in 2017 as a Starbucks barista. However, it was in 2018 that he found his true calling in the restaurant scene of Washington, D.C. From serving and bartending to managing the floor, Tyler immersed himself in various roles, demonstrating his versatility in the craft. Some notable experiences he enjoyed were his time as a Manager at O-Ku Sushi in Union Market from 2018-2022 and as the beloved and engaging bartender and assistant general manager at Lola's Bar & Grill on Capitol Hill.
Tyler began his current role as restaurant manager at Dauphines in November 2023. His passion for providing excellent service, coupled with his strong leadership skills, makes him a vital asset to the Dauphine’s team. He enjoys building meaningful relationships with regulars, first-time guests, friends, and fellow staff. When not at work, he can be found seeking out his next culinary adventure, dancing his heart out at live music events and festivals, and spending time with friends and family.
Beyond the restaurant world, Tyler is also a skilled special effects makeup artist, showcasing his talent for bringing imagination to life.
